Coordinates the delivery of SMARTstart programs and related activities relating to small business/entrepreneur programs at assigned SMARTstart facility in Pasco County. Research, plan, market, recruit, and facilitate development of new and expanding entrepreneurial businesses.  Responsibilities also include researching and coordinating strategies to support entrepreneurship efforts in targeted areas, including compiling and analyzing data and recruitment of mentors, guest speakers and local experts, coordination of monthly activities and presentations to help cultivate new and expanding businesses.

Promote incubation services and capabilities to external audiences. Identify, cultivate, and solicit support for incubation efforts and lead entrepreneurial education and roundtable programs. Coordination with strategic partners, development/promotion of small business services and programs through Pasco Enterprise Network (PEN), including presentations to relevant business and community groups to promote the awareness and mission of Pasco EDC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinates day-to-day facility operations related to the Company’s entrepreneurial and business incubation efforts; documents efforts through client-tracking databases, as appropriate.
Administer business incubation program, monitor individual action plans, and provide technical assistance relating to specific business tactics, including; business canvas, business plans, customer segments, etc.
Plans, coordinates, organizes, and spearheads efforts to identify and develop office, technology, and industrial entrepreneurs; ensures appropriate equipment, consumables, and other resources are available for the successful operations related to these efforts
Represents the Company to the local community and business groups, organizations, and agencies; responds to a wide variety of questions, comments, and/or concerns; resolves related complaints
Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders, and address complaints
Ensures project compliance with applicable internal and external requirements relating to the Cooperative Funding Agreement with Pasco County and the Pasco EDC Strategic Plan.
Coordinates the delivery of programs and activities related to entrepreneurial business growth, including; classes and workshops and other entrepreneur education and networking opportunities.
Meet regularly with appropriate PEN partners and other third-party strategic partners for the coordinated delivery of services.
Works within the boundaries and provides insight to management regarding program budgets.
Participates in regional events promoting Pasco EDC SMARTstart Programs
Prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports related to assigned programs, including financial reports, invoicing, account receivables, and tracking of clients.
Manages the needs of the facility ensuring smooth operation and appropriate functioning of equipment.
Understand emerging needs, trends, and services related to recruitment and location of incubator clients and affiliate members or other assigned areas of responsibility
In conjunction with the Marketing Manager implement marketing programs and collateral to ensure public exposure to program offerings
Help Identify funding sources for projects requiring financial assistance, including venture or angel resources.
Assist in fundraising activities including private and public sources.
Operates office machines, answers telephone, takes messages, maintains filing, updates Goldmine client-tracking, routes member mail, maintains recordkeeping, manages calendar.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 3-years related experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Experience starting, owning, operating and/or managing a small business highly desirable.

Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Florida driver license
Must have at the time of hire reliable transportation
