Starfish Mission is where emerging tech builders go to work, collaborate and rise. We believe in creating industry hubs and workspaces that bring together leaders, and builders, with a clear focus on specific industry sectors – blockchain, Web3.0, Articial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technology sectors.

We connect communities through curated events, peer-to-peer learning groups, mentor and incubator networks. At Starfish Network our goal is drive change forward and create collaborative environments on a local and global scale.

Together with our web of partner hubs, we strive to do away with old paradigms around competition and industry segregation and build a brighter world together. Our flagship hub Starfish Mission is the first one in a series of planned industry spaces. We have over 30 resident companies and multiple offerings around coworking, office spaces, industry events, media and community building.

We are hiring for the position of Community Manager/Events Manager at Starfish Mission in San Francisco. If you love people, events and spaces, read further.

Host: You make sure every member feels cared for and connected to you and the space. This includes keeping the workspace in order, making coffee, giving recommendations for lunch spots, listening to feedback, and making introductions across the community.

Outreach: You help market the space through social media, and occasionally attending selected industry events. You give amazing tours and follow our sales process to get the right people into the space and keep it at capacity.

Admin/Organization: You keep processes within the space in order, keep track of co-working and events business lines, onboard new members, and make sure everyone follows our code of conduct.

Events: You manage event bookings, work directly with our partner event hosts, as well as independently to host amazing events, manage event preparations, setup and takedown, and support events with social media outreach.

Education and experience: Any type of educational background is welcome. We prefer applications from people with experience in events, or community management, or hospitality, sales, customer support, or business development.

Hours: Variable shifts – Sometimes 9AM to 5pm, sometimes 1pm to 10PM, with breaks for lunch.

Short-term/contract work available immediately. Long-term positions available in 1-2 months.
